We
will be celebrating the 100 year anniversary of Medina Elementary next
week, April 18-22. There are some fun activities planned:
· Display: Daily - Stop by the Student Gallery that week to see the pictures of the school through the years!
· Alum Video Interviews: Daily
- Benay, our Technology Specialist, will be doing video interviews of
Medina Alums to show during the Daily News each day. If you are an
adult alum and have a great Medina Elementary story to share please let
us know!
· Assembly:
Friday, April 22nd - Michael Luis, a Medina dad and President of the
Eastside Heritage Society will give a presentation to the students on
the history of Medina and our school. Parents and alums welcome to
attend as well!
· Open House & Tree Planting:
Friday, April 22nd - Stay after school for an Open House and
commemorative tree planting! Families and alums are invited to see the
pictures, enjoy refreshments, and watch the planting of 2 cherry blossom
trees donated by the Medina PTA.
· All-School Dance: Friday,
April 22nd - We will end our week celebration with an all-school dance
on Friday evening from 6:00-8:30 pm! A DJ will be there to spin music
through the decades, cookies and juice will be served. Hope you can
attend!
