Exploring World Cultures Week

Exploring World Cultures is the week of February 13th! Do you have a special cultural dance, song or story that you would like to share with the school? Or, do you know someone in your cultural community (or your friend's) that has something that our school would love to see? Please contact Susan Muller with ANY ideas (Please put "EWCW" in the subject line). We would love to have a unique "show" to share with everyone during each lunch all throughout that week.

Missoula Children's Theatre

SAVE THE DATE: Missoula Children's Theatre is returning to Medina Elementary, March 26th - 31st. This year the students will be performing The Pied Piper. The instructors will be needing housing for the entire week of the performance. If you have a guest house or any extra space and would like to host, please email Kristyn Arnold at kristyncarnold@gmail.com. This will guarantee your child/children a spot in the performance. More information coming soon!

Kindergarten Registration Night

Kindergarten registration night will be held on February 2nd, from 6:30-7:30pm at Medina Elementary. Details will be provided in the Byte as the date draws closer. If you have a friend who might not be receiving the Byte, but will have a Medina Kindie next year, please tell them to "save the date".

Rainy Day Recess Donations

With Fall here to stay, we anticipate many days where it is pouring rain and it will not be safe to play outside of the undercover area. On these days, we have a RAINY DAY recess plan where students can play in the undercover area, go to the library, or play games, color, draw, and participate in other activities inside. We are looking for some donations for our RAINY DAY RECESS plan. Do you have some coloring books, cards, games, legos, or other items that you could donate to the school? If so, please bring them and put them in the RAINY DAY RECESS bins in the office this next week!

Bullying Prevention Information Nights

Respect. Courage. Compassion. The Bellevue School District has launched a new district-wide initiative aimed at preventing bullying in our schools, because every student deserves to learn in a safe and civil school environment. The District, in partnership with the Bellevue Parent Teacher Student Association Council, invites you to attend an upcoming Bullying Prevention Information Night. Come learn about the new Bullying Prevention and Social Skills curriculum in your child's classroom. Discover strategies for reinforcing those lessons at home. Share stories and talk with other parents about the impact of bullying, and how we can work together to stop it in its tracks!
