Our fall fundraiser Halloween Festival is back on Friday, October 23th, 4:00–7:00 PM at Medina Elementary!
 
Join us for a spooktacular evening featuring a Costume Parade, Trunk or Treat, and Arcade Games galore!
 
This beloved event raises funds that support extra GSAs and Tech Specialists for our students. With your generosity, our community comes together to enrich our children’s education.
 

Pie Raffle Entries

As a special thank-you to our generous donors, qualifying donors will receive entries for a chance to pie Principal Lyons or another Medina teacher in the face at a school event! 🎉

 

Tiger Stripes ($1,000+): 2 raffle entries

 

Midnight Tiger ($2,500+): 4 raffle entries

 

Golden Tiger ($5,000+): 7 raffle entries

 

Legendary Tiger ($10,000+): 12 raffle entries

 

We will also recognize and thank these generous donors by featuring their names on event signage.

SCHEDULE

Friday, October 23 | 4:00–7:00 PM | Medina Elementary

  • 4:00 PM – Doors Open

    • Games, face painting, tiger stripe tattoos, pumpkin decorating, cake walk, and photo booth

  • 4:15 PM – 👻 Costume Parade

    • Come dressed to impress!

  • 4:50 PM – 🥧 Pie the Staff

    • A few lucky students get their moment

  • 5:30 PM – 🚗 Trunk-or-Treat Opens

    • Trunk contest voting begins

  • 5:45 PM – ✨ Glow Bracelets

    • Free for every Tiger, while supplies last

  • 6:15 PM – Trunk Contest Voting Closes

  • 6:30 PM – 🏆 Trunk Contest Winners Announced

  • 7:00 PM – Good Night, Tigers!

All activities run continuously from 4:00 to 7:00 — the times above are our special events. Everything at the carnival is free, thanks to family donations through the Medina PTA.

 

🚚 Food trucks are on site all evening, 4:00–7:00. Food is available for purchase — bring cash or card.

Don't miss: The Costume Parade at 4:30 and Pie the Staff at 4:50 happen early — arrive on time! And stick around until 6:30 for the trunk contest winners.

Every family receives voting tickets at the festival to vote for their favorite trunk and pumpkin!

🚗 Trunk Decorating Contest

Timing

  • Park by 3:45 PM. No cars can move from 4:00 to 7:00.
  • Be at your trunk with candy by 5:30 PM when Trunk-or-Treat opens.
  • Voting runs 5:30–6:15 PM, and winners are announced at 6:30 PM.
  • Cars may leave after 7:00 PM.

Decorating

  • Kid-friendly spooky is fine, but no gore or graphic images.
  • Use battery-powered lights, since it'll be getting dark. No open flames, candles or fog machines.
  • Keep decorations within your car or trunk space.

Candy

  • Bring individually wrapped treats for about 300 kids.
  • Nut-free candy or non-candy treats like stickers or glow sticks are encouraged.
  • Need help with candy? The PTA has extra candy available to help stock your trunk. Just note it in your sign-up comment or email fundraising@medinapta.org, and we'll have some ready for you at check-in.

Prize Categories (Trophies Awarded)

  • 🐯 Best Tiger Trunk
  • 😂 Funniest Trunk

Voting: Families vote for Family Favorite with their voting tickets. A judging team picks the other four categories. Each car can win one trophy.

🎃 Pumpkin Contest

 

Drop-off

  • Bring your carved or decorated pumpkin to the front of the school on Friday, 10/23, any time in the morning or afternoon.
  • Attach a label with the student's name, grade and teacher.
  • One pumpkin per student.

Voting

  • Voting runs 4:30–6:00 PM with family voting tickets.
  • Winners are announced in the byte.

Ribbon Categories
Awarded separately for Grades K–2 and Grades 3–5:

  • 😜 Silliest Pumpkin
  • 👻 Spookiest Pumpkin
  • 🎨 Most Original Pumpkin

Pick-up

  • Please take your pumpkin home by 7:00 PM. Pumpkins left behind will be composted.
